Zi Xu

Born on the island of Hainan, China, and raised in the US, Zi Xu is a freelance illustrator who graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a B.F.A. in Illustration and Art History with a focus on archaeological illustration in 2018. She currently works in the entertainment industry creating illustrations, movie posters, and cover art for clients such as Adobe, DC, Disney, HBO Max, Lionsgate, Lucasfilm, Marvel, Netflix, Sony, Universal, and Warner Brothers. Like her background, her artwork is inspired by a mix of classical Chinese ink painting and 1950’s American editorial illustration.
